After Your Root Canal

Some discomfort after root canal treatment is completely normal and expected.

Your mouth may remain numb for 2–4 hours after the procedure. Avoid eating until feeling returns.

Eating

Avoid chewing on the treated side until your permanent crown is placed to protect the tooth.
